Since 2008, he has focused his efforts on exploring and researching the field of bio-organic chemistry. Previously, between 1999 and 2002, Dr. Mohamed served as a professor at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. At the start of his career, he taught at Minia University in his native Egypt as a lecturer from 1994 to 1999 and later as an assistant professor from 2002 to 2008.
As an expert in chemistry, Dr. Mohamed has published more than 700 research items in various international journals and conferences. He has served editor of four international journals in his specialty and a peer reviewer for many worldwide journals. Dr. Mohamed considers his most notable achievement has been developing his area of research from conventional organic synthesis compound to be in line with pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry. He also established collaboration research in that area in many universities around the world.
Matriculating at Minia University in Egypt, Dr. Mohamed earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1984 and a Master of Science in 1989. In 1991, he was granted a PhD scholarship at Duisburg Universitäte, Germany and awarded his Doctorate in 1994. To remain abreast of advancements and changes in his field, he maintains membership with the Royal Society of Chemistry in the United Kingdom, the Intelligence Research Institute in India, the Academic Society in Egypt and the Egyptian Chemical Society.
